TERRY A.C. GRAY IS AN EXPERIENCED LITIGATOR OF THE OLD SCHOOL VARIETY, SPECIFICALLY, A TALENTED LITIGATOR WHO CAN BRING SUCCESS IN ALMOST ANY SUBJECT AREA IN WHICH HE IS ENGAGED.

Mr. Gray has a wide range of litigation experience in diverse subject matters with the most common denominator amongst them being the complexity of the issues or the procedure. For the past decade, Mr. Gray has focused upon complex commercial litigation, complex family law matters related to trusts and estates, guardianship issues, and financial exploitation of the elderly, securities litigation including multiple FINRA arbitrations and expungements, AAA arbitrations, lender-borrower litigation, partnership disputes, litigation pertaining to trade secrets and non-compete agreements, messy employment disputes, complex defamation claims involving anonymous internet posters, and cutting edge litigation pertaining to the ownership of social media accounts. He has substantial experience conducting internal investigations, massive volume discovery, all aspects of pre-trial and post-judgment litigation, and trial experience. He has experience litigating matters at both the state and federal appellate level. Mr. Gray represents both plaintiffs and defendants, both individuals and entities, and he is equally at home before a state or federal judge, a panel of arbitrators or an administrative law judge, within the state of Florida or beyond.

Mr. Gray analyzes, researches, and litigates matters from a holistic perspective with a keen understanding of how pre-suit research impacts the claims and defenses, which impacts discovery and motion practice, which impacts the arguments and objections, which impact the outcome, and if necessary, appeal.

Prior to joining Martínez-Cid Law, Mr. Gray served as Senior Litigation Counsel for a top-ranked securities and complex commercial litigation boutique in Boca Raton. Earlier, Mr. Gray served as the Director of Litigation with responsibility for more than 2,000 federal cases related to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. Mr. Gray was Of Counsel with Boies, Schiller, and Flexner, LLP, and an associate with WilmerHale in Washington, D.C. (now Wilmer Culter Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP).

Mr. Gray graduated with honors from the University of Virginia where he also served as President of UVA’s Student Council and Student Body, representing more than 18,000 students. He was awarded a Henry Luce Fellowship pursuant to which he worked with NGOs in Thailand on local political development, and remains a proficient Thai speaker.

Mr. Gray then attended Stanford University Law School where he was on the law review. He clerked for the Hon. Thelton E. Henderson, then Chief Judge of the Northern District of California prior to embarking upon his legal career.
