ANDY HERNÁNDEZ DE LA OSA IS AN ASSOCIATE WHO FOCUSES ON COMPLEX LITIGATION, ARBITRATION, AND BUSINESS DISPUTES, AFTER HAVING DEALT WITH A WIDE VARIETY OF FEDERAL LITIGATION AS A LAW CLERK IN THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF FLORIDA.

Mr. Hernández De La Osa has experience at all stages of litigation and with a wide variety of federal claims. Before joining Martínez-Cid Law, Mr. Hernández De La Osa worked in high-end litigation boutiques in Miami. He was the Honorable Aileen M. Cannon’s first judicial law clerk, where he helped manage the judge’s civil case docket.

Mr. Hernández De La Osa is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law, where he was on the Dean’s List. While at Northwestern, he served as a clinical student in both the Investor Protection Center and United States Supreme Court Clinic. Mr. Hernández De La Osa received his undergraduate degree in three years from Florida International University where he was also on the Dean’s List.

·  Represented a healthcare executive in post-conviction habeas proceedings.

·  Serving as counsel in large putative class action suit brought against NextEra and multiple corporate officials.

·  Represented president of fraternal organization in connection with commercial disparagement claims that were brought against him in his personal capacity.

·  Represented pre-trial detainee in federal district court in contesting the conditions of his confinement pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983.

·  Obtained federal district court’s confirmation of an international arbitral award in favor of a well-known agricultural company.

·  Successfully opposed motion to dismiss seeking dismissal on the ground of forum non conveniens on behalf of Hong Kong corporation.

·  Represented Latin American developer and operator of telecommunication towers in a commercial dispute against American Tower Corporation in federal district court.

·  Successfully opposed petition seeking injunctive relief to prevent alleged ongoing sexual violence.
